Constructed of steel, this fire pit is susceptible to rust when exposed to outdoor conditions and fire. The unique design of this fire pit allows for heat generation in the burn chamber that can reach temperatures exceeding 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. While our fire pits are painted with high temperature heat resistant paint, there are currently no commercially available paints that can withstand these extreme temperatures. Over time, signs of rust may appear on the fire pit, but this will not affect its performance.

The bottom of the fire grate in this fire pit is stitch welded in place to allow for flexibility, necessary due to the high temperatures produced in the burn chamber. This flexibility may cause the fire grate to appear wavy, but this is normal and will not impact the fire pit's performance. This fire pit is designed for outdoor use only on hard, level surfaces. We recommend placing the fire pit on flat concrete pavers to prevent damage to any surface. When not in use, it is advised to cover the fire pit and store it in a dry location.
